- In addition to fit testing, we provide training on how to correctly don (put on) and doff (take off) your mask, ensuring you’re fully prepared for your placement.
- The price of the mask used during the test is included in our service, so there’s no need to bring your own.

Student Respirator Fit Testing FAQs
Nursing, medical, and health students need respirator fit testing to ensure they are properly protected during clinical placements, where they may be exposed to airborne hazards.
The fit testing includes a qualitative or quantitative test to ensure the respirator fits correctly, as well as training on proper donning and doffing techniques. The cost of the respirator is also included.
Student respirator fit testing is conducted at our Cardiff facility, as well as at The University of Newcastle’s Callaghan & Gosford Campuses. We offer special student rates to make the process accessible.
Bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before your appointment time. Cancellations, missed appointments or changes made within 24 hours will incur the full booking fee.
